Bob, is a very careful considerate driver, we all felt safe with him.  He picked up some passengers from Bodiam station to travel to Bodiam Castle and found he was not allowed to park his coach in their coach park, so he went away and safely parked elsewhere and arrived back on time to take us back to the Bodiam station later on.  We also had some passengers that were not feeling too good in the hot weather and did not want to travel on the un airconditioned train.  Bob kindly took them back to Tenterden and waited for the rest of us to board the coach to go home.  He made our day in more enjoyable.

We would like to bring to your attention that we, Westgate on Sea Christmas Lights Switch On committee, recently held a vote in Westgate on Sea to find a Local Hero to switch on our Christmas Lights.

There were many names put forward with some great back stories.

We had to select a winner and we had 2 outstanding candidates. Mrs Ruth Shilling and Phil, the driver of your 35 bus service.

Eventually we decided to give the honour to Mrs Ruth Shilling but we felt that you should be aware of how much affection is felt for Phil. He is a star.

You should be very proud of Phil as an employee. He represents you in a very good light. He is kind, generous and very willing to help passengers not matter what their issues are.

BTW, Phil is aware that he was beaten to the post by Ruth as Ruth constantly reminds him !

Hi, I just wanted you to pass my thanks on to one of your drivers. On Saturday my friend and I were riding our horses out of Painters Forstal towards Eastling and we met one of your small busses going the other way (The bus was going to Throwley I believe). The horses were very nervous of going past the bus, compounded by some horses in a field next to us running up to the fence. Your driver was fabulous, he pulled over as far as he could, switched off his engine and was totally patient waiting for us to get past. We skittered past a bit sideways and again he was in no rush and waited until we were well clear before starting his engine again. He is a perfect example of what to do when faced with a nervous horse. This was at around 1300 but I’m not sure of the exact time. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to your wonderful driver.

 I felt like I should write an email telling you about the wonderful service we experienced on Saturday the 28th of August on the 660. I have never used this route previously but a friend suggested it to get to Tankerton. Although the route is quite infrequent I thought we would give it a go. The bus driver, a young man Jessie was an absolute pleasure. I have never met a more courteous and polite driver. He greeted every customer with smile and welcomed them. He is an absolute asset to your company.

Had a lovely day at the races. Mark our driver was a very imperative part of the day. From the start he got us to take part in the numbers on the wheel game. He was polite, pleasant and very accommodating for all of our needs and requests. We ended up being diverted all around the houses down some very narrow roads none of which phased him. Fantastic driving ability. The coach itself was amazing. We had the 29 seat bus which was comfortable, very spacious and extremely smooth. The air con was ice cold which was very welcome on a hot day with a full bus. The booking system is very easy to use and the ability to make payments online as and when the money from each race goer was given to me was fantastic. The company were very informative and would respond to emails and quotes almost instantly. Over all a very fantastic service exemplary driver and extremely reasonable price. Will be booking future excursions in the very near future. Thank you to all involved, especially mark our driver.

What a journey it has been!

Our Embassy Summer Canterbury centre will be closing on Monday, 12th August!

Together, we have provided excellent services to almost 1,000! children from all over the world, and, I dare say, helped making Summer 2019 a memory they will always be happy to revisit!

Dear Sir or Madam,

I write to you, because I want you to know about the operator of one of the Bus routes the County Council subsidises.

People are very quick to criticise, but usually slow to praise.

This letter regards Route 36 – Herne Bay to Margate, operated by Regent Coaches.

I would like it to be put on record the first class quality of service provided by this Operator, and I know this is not only my opinion but also that of most of the passengers who use it.

Given that there are often traffic and road works problems from time to time, it is extremely good on time keeping.

Other comments from passengers are how pleasant and cheerful and helpful their drivers are.

If only the same could be said for the areas main operator.

I and, I’m sure, most of the other passengers, hope that we can look forward to many more years of their excellent service on Route 36.

I work at the QEQM margate and am a regular bus user, and have the NHS staff travel card (stagecoach) as you will be aware when social distancing came in, getting to and especially from work became harder and harder for everyone!! 

But your little 36 bus was always there to get us staff home after very busy and stressful shifts at the hospital.

Without your company we would watch the stage coach buses come into the Qeqm and go out again, time after time not unloading and not picking up.

You gave us a home life, time to be with our loved ones when everything had turned upside down in the world and in the hospital 

Please do not under estimate the gratefulness of all of us QEQM  staff who see the 36 and still breath a sigh of relief.

We know we will get home on time today!!

Again last week when the stagecoach  buses were cancelled, your little bus got me home !!! As you were the only bus running.

The driver was at the qeqm I saw it and ran for it so relieved to see it as I don’t carry cash and was going to be walking home in the storm.

It was like seeing water in a desert ……

Thank-you for allowing us to continue to use your bus at no extra cost!!!!

Please convey my thanks to all your hardworking drivers when they are cheery and friendly, especially your young chap.

I remember when he used to work for stagecoach he was always friendly and happy, it makes the journeys pleasant when you have someone like that, as that is not very often the experience of being a bus passenger on that company.

Driver was very patient whilst we settled all of the children onto the coach. He dropped us off at our required destination and was waiting and ready for us to take us back to school. I just wanted to say thank you to all the lovely drivers on the 36 bus (Herne Bay), particularly Jess, who is so friendly, caring, helpful and kind. It’s a real pleasure to ride on such a cheerful bus, and that, of course, is down to the wonderful attitude of the drivers.

They make you feel welcome, so it not only feels like a real community bus, but it often turns into quite a social occasion too, as the other passengers join the friendly atmosphere on board!

The drivers often look out for particular passengers if they feel they should be at a certain stop, but aren’t there. How caring. And they also make sure that they drop you off at a safe place.

It is so kind, in this day and age, to be cared about that much.

That’s quite something! Thank you to all these drivers for the happy bus journeys!
